Custom Designs
With over 40 years of custom design experience, Sholdt, has earned a distinguished reputation among both our peers in the jewelry industry as well as our clients. Designing is a collaborative process- we listen, review ideas, and provide suggestions based on our client’s individual style vision. Be it a concept, compilation of photos or an iteration of an existing piece of jewelry, we have found success custom designing and delivering the jewelry our client’s dream of.
Repairs
There are few jewelers more qualified to execute your jewelry repair than the actual craftsman who can create such treasures from scratch. With hundreds of years of combined experience, our master jewelers have encountered nearly every jewelry repair scenario imaginable. We offer a unique combination of old-world craftsmanship combined with state of the art technology makes it possible for our team to execute traditional jewelry repair, laser jewelry repair, and antique jewelry restoration.
Jewelry Care
With proper care your new piece will retain its beauty for decades. Many factors can contribute to the life of your jewelry. Attention to care, repair, and storage is key. Years down the line we want you to be as thrilled as you were on your engagement day. It’s important to have your piece looked at by a jewelry professional annually.
Cleanings
Your ring can easily get dirty through everyday wear and exposure to products like shampoo, sunscreen, and soap residue. Avoid contact with harsh household chemicals like hairspray and chlorine – these are not a diamond’s friend. Regular cleanings with a mild liquid soap and warm water do the trick. A toothbrush can also be used. We do not recommend ultrasonic cleaners or jewelry cleaning solutions unless they are used by a professional jeweler.
Jewelry Checkups
Even the most secure settings can loosen over time, especially if extensively worn. That is why we recommend an annual check up done by a jewelry professional. This checkup can avoid costly damage or loss. We offer this free of charge. When in doubt ask an expert. Diamonds are indeed the hardest stone, and hardy during daytime wear but can easily scratch other jewelry. Store diamonds alone in a soft pouch in your jewelry box.
Warranty
We stand behind the quality of our work and are happy to provide our clients with repairs for any item purchased from our Seattle Showroom, Studio due to accidental damage or normal wear and tear. If you purchased your item from one of our retail partners, please return the item directly to them for repair. Please note that we do not warranty the loss of stones. To protect your valuable investment we suggest you insure your piece for theft, loss and damage with a reputable insurer for replacement value of the piece. We recommend Jewelers Mutual Insurance.
