“I can’t say enough great things about Sholdt.
When my husband and I were talking about getting married, I’d shared with him one or two rings that I really loved. I’m not a jewelry wearer and I wanted something substantial, but minimalist, and still pretty. And I’m VERY picky.
When he finally proposed, he did so with a handmade, wood ring, which I thought was SO cool. He did tell me though, that he’d bought a diamond, and he picked a jeweler and we’d be designing our own rings. Since he knew I only wanted one ring, not an engagement ring and band/wedding ring, he wanted the wedding ring to be special.

Our first visit with Sholdt was so fun. Kaylee was incredibly welcoming and down to earth, and made me feel like we’d been friends forever. When I shared my vision, and an image of my favorite ring, she was so enthusiastic, but also wanted to make something unique, not exactly like the one I’d seen.
It wasn’t long after that I got the first CAD renders and they were nearly perfect. Updates and communication was so easy and fast. Trying on a wax cast of the ring was such a cool experience, and it really felt like we were creating something just for me.
My husband went through the same process with his and I honestly couldn’t have asked for jewelry more perfect for both of us. It was so fun to share our ideas and have them come to life.
So fun, in fact, that my husband bought me another diamond as a wedding gift, and we returned to design a pendant with it, which included the (teeny tiny) diamond that my dad had given my mom in her engagement ring.
I really only wear my wedding ring every day, but Sholdt often makes me wish I wore more! Someday, maybe?!
And every communication – emails, on social media, etc, Kalee makes me feel like she truly cares about her customers, and that they’re all really family.”
“My husband purchased my engagement ring from Gem Gallery in Bozeman, MT. He had found a photo of the ring he wanted to set Yogo Sapphires into online. It just so happened the photo he had was of a Sholdt engagement band, which Gem Gallery had in stock! The gal who assisted him with the band and handpicking the Yogos even called Sholdt’s owner to ensure that they would be able to set the Yogos in that specific band due to the carat size of the Yogos being just under the carat size of the setting.
Sholdt not only said they could, but they were also excited to get to set Yogos in that setting and were able to tailor the setting specifically for the Yogo Sapphires. The stones were shipped out to Sholdt to be set and returned in a very timely manner. The ring is flawless. Everyone was so wonderful, knowledgeable, and professional.
We would absolutely work with Sholdt and Gem Gallery again.”

After conducting some research, I started to really appreciate the high quality work of Sholdt jewelry and knew I had to contact Kalee to get the custom ring of my dreams. Chris and I both met with Kalee at Sholdt in the Old Rainier Brewery to discuss what we wanted and she helped us decide on the perfect stone within our budget.

Due to the COVID-19 closures, I thought that Chris didn’t have a chance to pick up the ring, but he actually had been holding onto it for a few months. I was shocked when he proposed on top of Mount Baker before we were about to do our favorite outdoor activity, skiing! Chris even made a mountain ring box out of a wine barrel stave, which represents our love of the outdoors and mountains.
It was a fun and effortless experience working with Kalee to design our perfect engagement ring. We can’t wait to work with her again for our Sholdt wedding bands!”
